Who We Are
Wind River Insurance, LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates this website and provides insurance services and marketing.

A. Scope of this Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information obtained through our website, forms, email, phone, and SMS (for those who opt in). Some data we handle in connection with providing personal lines and commercial insurance is subject to the federal Gramm‑Leach‑Bliley Act (GLBA) and similar state insurance privacy laws. Where GLBA applies, those rules govern; for other activities (like general website visitors or marketing), state consumer privacy laws (including the Colorado Privacy Act) may also apply.

Note for Colorado residents: The Colorado Privacy Act (CPA) grants consumers rights (e.g., access, deletion, correction, and opt‑outs for targeted advertising/sale/profiling). Certain GLBA‑regulated data is exempt, but we still aim to provide clear disclosures and reasonable choices for our site visitors.

B. Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  1. Identifiers & contact data — name, address, email, phone, driver’s license or other IDs.

  2. Insurance application & account data — household members, property/vehicle details, prior insurance, claims/loss history, coverages, premiums, payment history.

  3. Device/usage data — IP address, browser, pages viewed, referral URLs, and cookies/pixels for analytics and advertising.

  4. Geolocation (approximate, via IP) and call/text recordings if permitted by law and disclosed during calls.

  5. Sensitive or regulated data — in limited cases as required for quotes/claims (e.g., motor vehicle records, credit‑based insurance scores, property reports). We obtain some data from consumer reporting agencies or insurance support organizations as allowed by law.

C. How We Use Information

  • Quoting, underwriting, and servicing insurance policies; processing claims; billing and payments.

  • Communications: responding to inquiries, sending policy/account notices, and (with applicable consent) marketing messages by email/SMS.

  • Security, fraud prevention, and compliance with legal/contractual obligations.

  • Analytics and site improvement, including measuring effectiveness of ads and optimizing our services.

D. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information:

  • With insurers/carriers, general agencies, reinsurers, adjusters, inspectors, vendors, consumer reporting agencies, and service providers who support quoting, underwriting, claims, billing, communications, analytics, or site operations.

  • With regulators or law enforcement where required by law.

Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. E. Cookies, Tracking & Targeted Advertising
We (and service providers) use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for site functionality, analytics, and to tailor ads. Colorado residents may opt out of targeted advertising via our “Do Not Sell/Share or Target” link (if present) or by using recognized universal opt‑out signals as specified by CPA Rules. We will honor valid browser‑based or platform signals when required.
